Characterization of this section
The working group of child’s hematology (PSDH) not only develope research, diagnostics and treatment of child’s pacients with different types of leukemia, but also apply’s one mind to benign blood diseases, thrombosis and haemostasia. The board and members of the section meet three or four times per year during the one-day seminars dedicated to overview of newly diagnosed pacients with leukemia, interesting case interpretations and progress in research projects. Anemia, trombocytopenie, hemophilia and other blood diseases are the subject of making registers, diagnostic and medical approaches are disscused.
Since the beginning of nineties, the PSDH group closely cooperates with parents organizations, which have been established among individual leukemic centres. The PSDH group is actively involved in many of international studies of diagnostics and treatment of child’s blood diseases, especially leukemia and closely cooperates with leading characters in this field in the world. Czech children are provided the modern treatment on the world’s level.
